That's the motto of Rotary International - and that's what we put in motion at the Macomb Centennial Morning Rotary Club!  We're a club in action - whether it's setting up an event at the local state park, helping a veteran's family paint a house or serving food at a local heritage celebration.  Our service projects demonstrate our commitment to the community as we live out the ideals of the Four Way Test.  If you have a passion for making the world a better place through service, come join us.  Check the "About Us" section for the meeting time and location or.  Thank you for making Rotary part of your day!

The family of Rotary extends beyond individual Rotarians and Rotary clubs to include other service-minded people who help with the organization's work. Groups such as Rotaract, Interact, and Rotary Community Corps serve side by side with sponsor clubs, using their diverse skills to improve the quality of life in their communities. Below are some of the latest statistics available, as of 31 October 2011.

We were sponsored by the Macomb Rotary Club that meets Tuesdays at 12:00 noon and achieved enough members for a charter in 2005 - the Centennial year of Rotary International. Our banner, pictured above, features the historic McDonough County Courthouse where Abraham Lincoln addressed citizens in 1858 with a sunrise blazing to the East indicating morning.

Rotary District 6460 (www.rotarydistrict6460.org)

is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
THIRD: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;
FOURTH: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

The test, which has been translated into more than 100 languages, asks the following:

Of the things we think, say or do
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
